Technology architecture

Don’t resell technology. Orchestrate it, localise it, embed it.

The value does not lie in blockchain, IoT sensors or an AI engine — all available from many players. It lies in their assembly into a trusted national product and their anchoring in an ecosystem.

The core tech stack

Four technology families, one function: verifiable trust.

Blockchain

A distributed, immutable, time-stamped ledger. Tamper-proof audit trail; integrity and authenticity of production, inventory and flow data.

Artificial intelligence

Data analysis, anomaly and fraud detection, prediction, natural-language processing. Proactive risk detection and decision intelligence for actors and funders.

Internet of Things

Sensors, data loggers and gateways: geolocation, temperature, humidity. Anchors digital in reality with objective real-time data.

Cloud + sovereign hosting

AWS cloud with local sovereign hosting: availability, scalability and the foundation of multi-country replication.

The portfolio of solutions

A catalogue mapped to the value stack.

Delivered by PIPRA Solutions Private Limited (Hyderabad, since 2017) and orchestrated by the holding. The traceability base is at the heart; other products surround it or serve specific sectors.

The Trade Pass as a productised assembly

Not a catalogue product: an assembly of bricks.

The “[Country]trade Pass” is layer 1 of the canonical model, materialised by this assembly. The same recipe is played in each country, with localisation of standards, language, currency and GS1 prefix.

Reference architecture

Five floors, from the field to the decision.

The reliability issue lies at floor one: the ledger guarantees the integrity of data once entered, not its accuracy at entry. Hence the critical role of IoT in automating data capture.

Edge (IoT)

Sensors, data loggers, gateways; geolocation, temperature, humidity; QR codes on products.

Platform & data

Core application, product repository, identity and access management.

Ledger

Immutable, time-stamped recording of production, transfers, controls and scans.

Intelligence (AI)

Analysis, anomaly and fraud detection, prediction, alternative scoring.

Applications & access

Web and mobile apps; citizen scan verification; Kuyil; dashboards for actors, regulators and financiers.

Industry playbooks

One base, five sector combinations.

The choice of the primer sector depends on the country’s sovereign priority and the sectors with severe pain. In Cameroon, the primer combined trade and agro with health (LANACOME).

Build – Operate – Transfer

Skills transfer as a lever of sovereignty.

Each deployment is accompanied by a transfer of knowledge to local teams, creating a skills multiplier effect and, in the end, reducing the continent’s technological dependence.

For the holding this serves three objectives: it anchors the affiliate in its national ecosystem (skilled jobs, trained talent); it reinforces the sovereignty discourse with states; and it lowers the marginal cost of replication, since trained skills are transferable to the next countries.

Principles of technical replication

Seven principles for a platform that travels.

Multi-country, multi-instance

One platform, localised instances per affiliate; coherence of the base, autonomy of local configuration.

Localisation

Vehicular language and voice support, national standards, national GS1 prefix.

Interoperability

Standardised APIs with banks, ERP, customs and payment gateways; GS1 standards.

Degraded / offline modes

Operation in limited connectivity with delayed synchronisation.

Security & access governance

Cryptographic key management, independent third-party audits, controlled transparency for authorised actors only.

Data quality at source

IoT automation, consistency checks and geo-traceability to limit input errors.

Data sovereignty

Residency and compliance with local requirements; a clear framework for sharing aggregate data.

Data as a strategic asset

A double-edged asset: credit and public intelligence.

For the affiliate and producers, Trade Pass data feeds alternative credit scoring and the warrantage of traced stock: it is the fuel of the finance layer.

For the host state, aggregated and anonymised, it becomes economic intelligence — macro trends, value-chain vulnerabilities, impact of shocks — a possible digital public good.

Valuing aggregate data never compromises the confidentiality of individual business data. Controlled transparency, anonymisation for macro use and audited governance are the condition of trust — and therefore of the model itself.

The holding as technical orchestrator

One contract. One IP owner. One portfolio.

Affiliates do not interact directly with the Indian headquarters. The holding contracts with PIPRA Solutions, owns and manages intellectual property at group level, pools the portfolio across all markets and provides each affiliate with a localised instance. This protects affiliates, consolidates IP and accelerates replication.
